Lucy Young, MD
Dr. Young is Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. She completed her bachelor and medical education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received her PhD degree in Biology from Harvard University prior to her Ophthalmology residency and Vitreoretinal fellowship at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Young joined the full-time staff of the MEEI Retina Service in 1990. Her clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, trauma-related retinal complications, and retinal infections. She is the director of The Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology and has been on its faculty since 1990. Her publication list includes 95 peer review papers and book chapters. She is on the Best Doctors and US News Report Top Doctors lists and was featured in the November 2007 Boston Magazine. Dr. Young also sits on the Hawaiian Eye Foundation Scientific Advisory Board.
