Biosyntrx, Inc. Announces the Appointment of Five New Eye Care Professionals to the Esteemed Scientific Advisory Board

Kenneth J. Rosenthal, MD, FACS, Dr. Rosenthal's “high tech, high touch” practices are in New York City and Great Neck, Long Island, NY. He is also the medical director of Eye Diagnosis of Greater New York, the largest and most comprehensive free-standing diagnostic center in the tri-state area. Dr. Rosenthal is the immediate past president of the American College of Eye Surgeons; associate professor of Ophthalmology, University of Utah School of Medicine; and associate clinical professor of Ophthalmology, Hofstra University Medical School. He a frequent ophthalmic meeting podium personality, as well as being an accomplished pianist.

George O. Waring IV, MD, FACS, is in surgical practice in Mount. Pleasant and Charleston, SC. He is a founding member of Vanguard Ophthalmology Society, which promotes excellence through a collaboration of future leaders in the field of ophthalmology. He has been a principle investigator for numerous FDA clinical studies concerning vision correction surgery. He is assistant professor, Department of Ophthalmology, Medical University of South Carolina; and adjunct assistant professor, Department of Bioengineering, Clemson University.

Nicole R. Fram, MD, is in practice with Advanced Vision Care in Los Angeles, CA. Her sub-specialty is corneal and external disease. She is a clinical instructor of Ophthalmology, David Geffen School of Medicine, Jules Stein Eye Institute, UCLA, with expertise in premium cataract surgery, anterior segment reconstruction, refractive surgery, cornea and external disease, including dry eyes. Dr. Fram completed her residency at the prestigious Wills Eye Institute in Philadelphia, PA, where she served as chief resident. She is a member of Vanguard Ophthalmology Society and ASPENS.

James F. Freeman, MD, is in practice in Memphis, TN. He specializes in cataract and glaucoma surgery, as well as corneal transplants and laser vision correction. He is clinical instructor at University of Tennessee College of Medicine and the recipient of the Phillip M. Lewis Award for Excellence. He also makes repeated trips to China, the Dominican Republic and Mexico to conduct research and train local doctors in the use of the latest laser techniques for refractive surgery. Dr. Freeman is a pilot and plays several instruments including the piano.

Jeffrey R. Anshel, OD, FAAO, is in private practice in Encinitas, CA. He was the founding president of the 500-member Ocular Nutrition Society and has published numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and books regarding nutritional influences on vision and computer vision concerns. The second edition of his popular book Smart Medicine for Your Eyes is a best seller in the ophthalmic sector. His new book Ocular Nutrition Handbook for eye care professionals will be released in late spring. Dr Anshel is also the principal of Corporate Vision Consulting where he addresses the issues surrounding vision and ocular health often associated with excessive computer use. He lectures nationally and internationally to eye care providers on nutrition science related to eye and body health topics.
