Biosyntrx Inc Becomes Voting Member of Council for Responsible Nutrition

May 11, 2007

The Board of Directors of the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN), unanimously approved Biosyntrx, Inc. and Ellen Troyer, MT MA, Exec Vice President and Chief Research Officer as a full voting member. CRN founded in 1973, is a Washington DC-based trade association representing the dietary supplement industry.

"Ellen Troyer's expertise in nutritional supplement science is recognized worldwide, as is her Biosyntrx Friday Pearl column on nutrition and lifestyle science. This approval will serve both Biosyntrx and the Council for Responsible Nutrition well," said Spencer Thornton, MD, Biosyntrx President.

CRN has played an integral role in the passing of major dietary supplement legislation for the past 34 years, including the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act of 1990 (NLEA), the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA), and the Food and Drug Administration Modernization Act of 1997 (FDAMA).

CRN has led the industry in the regulatory arena with aggressive promotion of self-regulation while consistently challenging FDA's over-reaching efforts to restrict dietary supplement sales.

The internationally respected CRN science staff has established a platform to sustain the future growth of the industry based on principles of sound science.
